 Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the great philosopher, and statesman were the second President and the First Vice-President of India. He was a very prominent scholar and academician. His birthday is observed as Teacher’s Day all over India. Born on 5 September 1888 at Tiruttani in Tamil Nadu.

Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was Knighted in the year 1931 and since then till the attainment of India’s independence, he was addressed as Sir Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
Post-independence, he came to be known as Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
Radhakrishnan was also named as Spalding Professor of Eastern Religions and Ethics at the University of Oxford in 1936. He was elected as a Fellow of the All Souls College. In 1946, Radhakrishnan was elected to the Constituent Assembly. He served as the ambassador to UNESCO and later to Moscow. He became the Vice President of India in 1952 and in 1962 he became the President of India.

 NCERT audiobooks available for primary to class 12 students, here’s how to access via Google Assistant – Education

Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET) has launched NCERT audiobooks on its official web site at ciet.nic.in and e-pathshala cell app. Students from main sections to class 12th can entry these audiobooks on-line.

The audiobooks can even be helpful for youngsters with particular wants.

MHRD on its official Twitter deal with wrote, “NCERT textbooks are NOW available in audio form! This facility will be very useful for DIVYANG/Children With Special Needs (#CwSN) & is more relevant given the unprecedented #covidcrisis. #DigitalEducation Access the audiobooks here.”

Students can entry these audiobooks by way of Google Assistant as nicely. Follow these steps to hearken to audiobooks:

 15 अगस्त, जिसे स्वतंत्रता दिवस के रूप में भी जाना जाता है” सभी भारतीयों के लिए बहुत महत्वपूर्ण दिन है| ये वो दिन है जब हम सभी स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों के बलिदानों को याद करते हैं जिनकी वजह से हमें स्वतंत्रता मिली है।

 हालाँकि, स्वतंत्र राष्ट्र होने के बावजूद, स्वतंत्रता का सही अर्थ कहीं खो गया है।

एक लड़की की परेशानी यह है कि वो छेड़-छाड़ होने के डर से रात में बाहर नहीं जा सकती ।एक बच्चे को काम करने के लिए मजबूर किया जाता है, जबकि उसे स्कूल जाना चाहिए; एक देश जिसने रानी लक्ष्मी बाई, बछेंद्री पाल, सरोजिनी नायडू को जन्म दिया, वहाँ हर दिन कन्या का भ्रूण हत्या देखा जाता है; कई बच्चे उचित शिक्षा से रहित हैं; बुनियादी स्वास्थ्य सेवा अभी भी बड़े पैमाने पर दुर्गम है, और सूची जारी है।

 यह सवाल उठता है - क्या हम वास्तव में स्वतंत्र हैं?

Painting Competition on International Tiger Day

Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change is going to organize an online art competition on the occasion of International Tiger Day with the goal to promote a global system for the protection of Natural Habitat and raise awareness for tiger conservation issue did a painting competition.

Theme: ‘Protect tigers and their habitat'

Prize and Recognition
• A Certificate for appreciation from the Department of Environment Forest and Climate Change Govt. of Bihar
• A memento from the DEFCC.
• Department will promote the painting and artist through its Social media handle (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram)

Terms and Conditions

  1.  There is no entry fee to participate in the contest which is open to Indian citizens only. 
  2.  Theme of the Painting Competition is ‘Protect tigers and their habitat,'
  3.  Multiple entries by the same participant/applicant would not be considered. 
  4. The Painting must not contain any provocative, objectionable or inappropriate content. 
  5. The Painting must be original and should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957. The applicant/participant shall not use any material (Photograph, icon, symbol, image etc.) which is copyright protected. Plagiarism would not be allowed. 
  6.  Anyone found infringing on other’s copyright would be disqualified from the competition. 
  7. The painting has to be submitted online in JPEG, PDF format. 
  8.  DEFCC will inform only the winners about the selection of their Painting. 
  9. The result of the competition will be uploaded on the Notice Board of the website of the department, i.e., http://forest.bih.nic.in/ as well as MyGov portal. 

Technical Parameters 

  1. The Painting must be in A2 size (420 x 594 mm / 16.5 x 23.4 inches) on any type of Art paper of the choice of the participants. 
  2. The participants will be at liberty to use any type of safe color material like acrylic, pastel, water etc. or a clever mix of all in the painting.
  3. The Painting should be usable on the website/mobile app/ social media such as Twitter/Facebook/Instagram and on Magazines, Commercial, Hoardings/Standees, Brochures, Leaflets, Pamphlets, Souvenirs and other Publicity and Marketing materials. 
  4. Slogans on the paintings, if any, may be only either in Hindi or English only. 

Evaluation Criteria

  1.  All the entries fulfilling the terms and conditions would be assessed for award by a Selection Committee constituted by DEFCC. 
  2.  Entries would be judged on the basis of elements of creativity, originality, composition, technical excellence, simplicity, artistic merit and visual impact and how well they communicate the theme. 
  3. The decision of the Selection Committee would be final and binding on all the participating contestants and no clarifications would be issued to any participant/applicant for any or their decisions.

Last Date of submission form: 10th August 2020
Result- On 15th August 2020

National Level Patriotic Poem Competition


Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), an autonomous organization of Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, announces National Level Patriotic Poem Competition on the occasion of Independence Day 2020.

CCRT is working in the field of linking education with culture for more than 40 years and has awarded more than 14000 scholarships till date to the young and meritorious children in the age group of 10 to 14 years.

CCRT under the initiatives/programs to be undertaken during the Independence Day 2020, on behalf of Ministry of Culture , Government of India invites entries of “Patriotic Poem” from meritorious young children in the age group of 10 to 14 years, for participation in the National Level Patriotic Poem Competition. Children whose date of birth is in between 01.07.2007 and 30.06.2011 (both days inclusive) are eligible to send their entries.

1. First Prize (Rs. 15,000/-)
